In reply to your letter No. 3903 of the 17th instant, I am directed by the Marquess Curzon of Kedleston to invite reference to the communication
from this office F 428 of the 8th, instant regarding the proposed erection of a building at Canton for cadets from Hongkong and Malaya.
2. No objection is seen by this department to the erection of the building, subject to the concurrence of His Majesty's Minister at Peking, to whom copies
of correspondence between this department and the Colonial Office have been sent, and who will no doubt
communicate on the matter with His Majesty's Consul
General at Canton,
